Curious J is still sick, but she is the happiest and most cheerful sick baby I’ve seen in a long time.  This is probably due to the fact that her cold seems to consist mainly of a runny nose.  This stuffy nose has provided some interesting bubbles!  :)   I just hope that she’s better by the time we fly out; I’m concerned about the altitude changes on a plane ride with J’s head all filled with fluid.  I guess we’ll just take it one day at a time, and trust the Lord to work out the details.

This afternoon when Curious J woke up from her nap, I took her outside to see what her big sister was playing.  Lyd was blowing bubbles, and she invited me to join her.  Despite all the busy-ness of trying to get ready to leave, I sat down for about fifteen minutes and steadily blew bubbles with Baby J on my lap.  Lyd danced around, discovering new ways to pop the bubbles, and Little J was entranced, both by the bubbles and her sister’s antics.  A warm breeze was blowing, my girls were happy, and it was a nice break from the busy day.  It’s been a long time since I took the time to blow a whole bunch of bubbles.

Ahh.  I feel relaxed.  I think I should stop and blow bubbles more often.
