I’m just saying…

… that when I see people standing on street corners waving signs that say “No on Prop. 8,” or driving around in cars plastered with “Yes on Prop. 8” signs, neither sign influences my vote.

I think that anyone who is convinced to vote a certain way by people waving signs on a street corner or convinced by the signs on someone’s car — shouldn’t be voting.

This same principle applies to presidential elections and local ballot initiatives as well.  Frankly, I’ve found that the more signage I see for a certain something, the less likely I am to vote for that certain something.  This has been proven time and again.  It seems that people who don’t use signs often think similarly to me.  Perhaps they, too, realize that no intelligent voter is going to be swayed merely by a sign in someone’s front yard or on their car or held high on a stick on a street corner, so why bother?

I’m just saying.

So, if you are someone who is not easily swayed by signage and are someone who can make an educated decision on your own when you vote, then by all means, get out and vote today!  :)

And if you’re a Christian, remember that the Lord is always in control, and he uses both “good” and “bad” governments to accomplish his good purpose.  So, no matter who wins today, we’re all still in good hands.  And there are no elections in heaven!  That’s another thing to look forward to about being there!
