Boy, it’s hard to keep up with blogging when you’re trying to get ready to have a rummage sale and then move!
The weather has turned back to winter again these past few days. It reminds me of the scene from the movie “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” where the animation shows it turning to “spring, then summer, then fall, then winter, then spring, then right back to winter…” or something like that. That’s where we are: spring, now right back to winter. It’s cold, rainy, chilly, and damp. No wonder Jujubee got sick again last week.
Although her sickness followed the same path it always does, thankfully I was able to keep it from turning into actual pneumonia. I gave her the homeopathic remedy Antimonium tartaricum, which my homeopath had said to give her next time she started her cough again. I also went to my acupuncturist and got more of the herbs that he gave her last time, the herbs that dry out her lungs. The combination of the two worked quite well; she’s not completely rid of crud in her lungs yet, but she’s able to sleep at night with only a bit of coughing, and overall she feels like herself. For Jujubee’s health, I think the move to Sacramento will be a very good one.
There’s so much happening now in regards to the move. While our exact moving date may change, it will likely be in mid-June. It’s now mid-May, so we’re at T-30 days. Ack!
Our rummage sale is this Saturday. A few other families are contributing stuff to our rummage sale, so we should have a LOT of stuff. At least the weather is supposed to be nicer by the weekend.
It’s hard to keep up with all of the day-to-day stuff in the midst of also trying to do the moving stuff.
So, I’d better get back to work.
In case you’re wondering, the new header is a picture of my amaryllis plant. It’s in full bloom right now outside my front door.
